장소 전치사의 3단계

시간과 마찬가지로 장소에서도 in/on/at의 크기 구분이 있습니다. 🏙️ in → 내부, 넓은 공간: in the room, in Korea, in the world 📋 on → 표면, 위: on the table, on the wall, on the second floor 📍 at → 정확한 지점: at the bus stop, at the door, at home 💡 크기 순서: at(점) < on(면) < in(공간)

주소와 장소 표현

주소를 말할 때도 크기에 따라 전치사가 달라집니다. • at + 번지: at 123 Main Street (정확한 주소) • on + 거리: on Main Street (거리 위) • in + 도시/나라: in New York, in the USA 💡 좁은 것 → 넓은 것 순서: at → on → in

자주 쓰이는 장소 관용 표현

• at home / at work / at school (장소 기능) • at the airport / at the station (교통 시설) • on the bus / on the train / on the plane (교통수단 위) 하지만! in the car / in the taxi (작은 차량 안) • in the city / in the country (도시에/시골에) 💡 대중교통(큰 것) = on, 개인차량(작은 것) = in

헷갈리는 on vs in

• on the corner (모퉁이에 — 표면) in the corner (구석에 — 내부 공간) • on the street (거리에서 — 표면) in the street (도로 위에 — 영국 영어) • on the beach (해변에서) at the beach (해변이라는 장소) 💡 미세한 차이지만, 맥락에 따라 달라집니다.
