대명사, 시간, 장소 표현을 보고 시점에 맞게 조정한다

왜 대명사/시간이 바뀌어야 하는가

간접화법은 '다른 시점에서 다시 전달하는 것'이기 때문에, 시제뿐 아니라 대명사(누가 말했는지), 시간(언제 말했는지), 장소(어디서 말했는지)도 보고하는 시점에 맞게 바꿔야 합니다. 예: 월요일에 Tom이 'I will come here tomorrow.' → 수요일에 전달: Tom said he would go there the next day. I→he, here→there, tomorrow→the next day, will→would 모든 것이 보고하는 시점 기준으로 변환됩니다.

대명사 변환 규칙

대명사는 '누가 누구에게 전달하는가'에 따라 바뀝니다: 기본 변환: • I → he/she (말한 사람) • you → me/us (듣는 사람) 또는 문맥에 따라 • my → his/her • your → my/our • we → they • our → their • myself → himself/herself 💡 주의: 항상 기계적으로 바꾸면 안 됩니다! 내가 직접 들은 말을 전달할 때: 'You are smart.' (Tom이 나에게) → Tom said I was smart. (you → I) 제3자에게 전달할 때: → Tom told her she was smart. (you → she)

시간 표현 변환

시간 표현도 보고 시점에 맞게 변환: • today → that day • tonight → that night • yesterday → the day before / the previous day • tomorrow → the next day / the following day • this week → that week • last week → the week before / the previous week • next week → the following week • ago → before / earlier two days ago → two days before • now → then / at that time 💡 같은 날 전달하면 변환 불필요: 오늘 오전에 한 말을 오늘 오후에 전달: 'I'll come today.' → He said he'd come today. (같은 날이므로 today 유지)

장소 표현 변환

장소도 보고하는 위치에 따라 바뀝니다: • here → there 'I live here.' → She said she lived there. • this → that 'I like this place.' → He said he liked that place. • these → those 'I need these files.' → She said she needed those files. • come → go (방향 전환) 'I will come to your office.' → He said he would go to my office. (말한 사람이 오는 것 → 보고 시점에서는 가는 것) 💡 보고 장소가 같으면 변환 불필요: 같은 장소에서: 'I love this cafe.' → He said he loved this cafe. (here 유지)

Examples

'내일 여기서 만나자.' → 그가 다음 날 거기서 나를 만나겠다고 했다. — 'I'll meet you here tomorrow.' → He said he would meet me there the next day.

'우리 어제 프로젝트 끝냈어.' → 그들이 전날 프로젝트를 끝냈다고 했다. — 'We finished our project yesterday.' → They said they had finished their project the day before.

'지금 네 사무실로 갈게.' → 그녀가 그때 내 사무실로 간다고 했다. — 'I'm coming to your office now.' → She said she was going to my office then.

'지난주에 이 영화 봤어.' → 그가 그 전주에 그 영화를 봤다고 했다. — 'I saw this movie last week.' → He said he had seen that movie the week before.

'오늘 아침부터 여기서 기다리고 있어.' → 그녀가 그날 아침부터 거기서 기다리고 있었다고 했다. — 'I've been waiting here since this morning.' → She said she had been waiting there since that morning.
