above/below는 높낮이, over/under는 바로 위아래/덮음/넘음

above vs over

둘 다 '위'를 뜻하지만 뉘앙스가 다릅니다. • above = 더 높은 위치 (접촉 없음, 수직 관계 불필수) The plane flew above the clouds. (구름 위로) The temperature is above 30°C. (30도 이상) • over = 바로 위, 덮음, 넘어감 She put a blanket over the baby. (아기 위에 담요를 덮었다) The cat jumped over the fence. (울타리를 넘어 뛰었다)
